Description
Full Text

The propeller Ontario was to leave New York yesterday for Boston, if the ice did not prevent. Two new, commodious and substantial propellers of 600 or 700 tons each, to be named the City of New York and City of Boston, are now nearly ready to run on this line. The former, which was built at Hoboken, will probably be brought on next Monday. The City of Boston, which was recently launched at Medford, and is now receiving her machinery, will be finished and take her place in the course of six weeks. By this arrangement, when completed, a safe, convenient, and rapid transit for passengers and freight will be effected.
