"To What Base Uses May we Com at Last!"--It is stated that the Propeller Ontario built at Rochester N.Y. some ten years or more ago by George Steers, and which was for some years in the Lake trade, and afterwards ran between New Orleans and Chagres--is now engaged in the slave trade, and recently landed a cargo of slaves on the coast of Cuba. The merchants of Rochester little thought when they presented the Ontario with a suit of colors, and its owners presented Mr. Steers the architect with a silver pitcher that such would be her ultimate employment.
