The Oswego Canal is finished and in successful operation. The first line boat passed the locks into the harbor on the 11th. Two elegant packet boats run daily from Syracuse to Oswego, where the steam boat Ontario touches regularly on her trips from Ogdensburgh and Niagara up and down the Lake. A schooner also sails as a regular packet between Oswego and Kingston.
