The arrivals at this port last week were the Schooner Transvantang with upwards of 250,000 feet of lumber; the Union, Sandy Creek with a cargo of 17,000 bricks, the McClellan, Sherman and Monitor. The McClellan and Sherman took from this place 5,000 bushels of barley, and the Monitor 700 barrels of apples. They lumber brought by the Transvantang is said to belong to Messrs. Davis of Bishop Street and Wheeler of Adams.

The Schooner C.G. Mixer Capt. Chas. Eggleston sailed from this port three weeks ago for Chicago and is now on her way from that place to Brockville laden with wheat and pork.

The Barque Montmorency, Capt. Jennings of Pierrepont Manor was on this lake during the severe gale of Monday Oct. 20. Her encounter with the wind and wave was fearful but she reached her destination, sustaining losses of both anchors, all her chains and some of her sail.
