Severe Thunder Storm– A brisk and brilliant April shower came off early yesterday morning. The wind was in the South and for successive hours the rain, at intervals, fell in profusion. The lightning was very vivid, but the thunder was truly sublime. The Propeller St. Lawrence was struck by the lightning and her mast shivered. On the top of it was a brass ball and below it an arrow. The ball was bent from it perpendicular and the feathers on the arrow were greatly ruffled. The fluid passed down the mast, leaving the marks of its progress. Within three feet of the deck, the mast was badly splintered, and from thence it disappeared, probably passing into the water.
