Brig Algomah and her Escape

Description
Full Text

This beautiful craft, it will be remembered got upon the rocks in Lake Erie and had it not been for her great strength and the U.S. Steamer, who came to her relief, she would have been ship-wrecked. As it was, about 1000 bushels of wheat were thrown over board. The Algomah arrived her last week, and is now hoisted up on the Marine rail-way for repairs. Her bottom is badly rubbed, but no planks are broken. Her hull is also "hogged" some, but she will be straightened out, and put in fine order before she ploughs the bosom of lake Ontario again.
