NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, THAT THE undersigned will apply, to the Honorable the Commissioners of the Land Office, for a grant of the following described land, pursuant to statute, that is to say: A lot of land covered by the waters of the River St. Lawrence, situated in the town of Oswegatchie, in the county of St. Lawrence, and lying opposite of the lands of E.B. Allen, E.N. Fairchild, and James Van Cleve, which lands are a part of St. Lawrence river lots three and four, in the Nathan Ford Mansion Tract estate: - Beginning at a point in the margin of the River St. Lawrence, the northeasterly corner of the Marine Railway Company’s tract or lot, (which point is situated 124 feet northeasterly down the margin of the River St. Lawrence from where the line between lots 2 and 8 intersect said margin,) and running thence in the waters of the River St. Lawrence, N. 40 degrees 45’W. 570 feet to a point, the northeasterly corner of the Marine Railway Company’s lot; thence N. 48 degrees E. 450 feet to a point; thence S. 42 degrees East E. 515 feet to a point, the northeasterly corner of Messrs. Allen, Fairchild, and Van Cleve’s tract or lot; thence up the margin of the River St. Lawrence a southwesterly course, 470 feet to the place of beginning, containing 248,400 square feet, or five acres and seventy hundredths of an acre of land, under water, to be used for commercial purposes.
