____Hearing that the Ogdensburgh Marine Railway Company was going to haul out another steamer, we repaired to the Company’s works, on Friday morning last, and found them preparing to haul up the steamer Mayflower, Capt. T.T. Hodson, one of the Michigan Central Railroad Line of steamers.
The sight was truly interesting. Capt. Ault, who is Commander-in-Chief of the Works, soon after our arrival on the ground had every thing in order, when gave word to start the engine, and with the same apparent ease that a boy would draw a hand-sled up a hill in Winter, this steamer was drawn up, high and dry upon the Ways. Every thing works to a charm here - engine, chains and men. The time occupied was very short - instead of taking a whole day, as we supposed, much less than half a day was required, with a very small number of men.
Several other steamers are lying by the Company’s docks, which will soon be hauled out in the same way. It is a sight worth beholding to witness the science of mechanics so skillfully applied, that a small engine, more than a stone’s throw away from the craft, is able to draw up the larges vessel that rides our waters. Go and see the operation.

- This would not have been the Michigan Central Railroad's MAYFLOWER would was too big to come down the Welland Canal. It would have been the Canadian MAYFLOWER, ex-COMET.
