To Raise Sunken Ship

That the East Shore Dredging company of Muskegon was the successful bidder for raising the sunken lightship, Milwaukee No. 95, lying at the Racine Boat Manufacturing company's west dock, was the information received this morning by officers of the former company in a telegram from Walter I. Woodman. Mr. Woodman is the receiver of the defunct National Boat and Engine company, the parent corporation of which the Racine company of Muskegon is the principal subsidiary corporation.

The East Shore Dredging company will begin work in raising the lightship within 10 or 15 days. The work must be completed wyithin [sic] 30 days of the signing of the contract. The cost of the job of raising the vessel will be about $3500. This is merely for floating it, and does not include repairing the damage done by water. Leon G. Smith of Muskegon is wrecking master of the East Shore Dredging company. Mr. Woodman is now in Cleveland, O.
