Our Inland Marine. Two Strandings.

It was reported here Thursday evening that the fore-and-aft schooner Guthrie went ashore on Fisherman's Shoal, on the east side of Rock Island.

She stranded Tuesday night during the southerly blow, and the following morning the tug Truscott, of Washington Island, went out to take her crew off, but the attempt proved ineffectual, on account of the heavy sea. The big seas roller over her at intervals, and nothing but the spars were visible. No one appeared on deck, the crew no doubt remained below to keep from being drenched. The vessel appeared to be light.

The Truscott was to have made another attempt Thursday morning, but what success she had could not be ascertained.

The wrecking tug Monarch in searching those passages for wrecks after storms, such as has prevailed with the week, has probably run across her.
