Winter Marine Notes. The fishing tugs Truscott and Annie D. have been blocked in at Mud Bay by drift ice for several days. In an attempt to release herself Sunday morning the Truscott broke her rudder and one of the blades of her propeller wheel by coming in contact with heavy ice. Block, tackles and other lifting gear was sent to the tug from this port, and the Truscott was raised and the opposite blade removed to balance the wheel. The rudder was likewise repaired and it is expect that both tugs will be able to get out in a day or two.
