Steamer Eddy Stranded

Mackinac Island. Sept. 26. The steamer Charles A. Eddy, bound for Chicago with a cargo of iron ore, stranded on Middle Point Mackinac Island, at midnight. She ran out six and one half feet forward and is leaking badly. Assistance has been wired for. A large quantity of her cargo must be lightered before she can be released.
