Put-In-Bay, Dec.11.-- The schooner Spademan was sunk off here today, being cut by the ice. She filled rapidly, but the crew escaped and arrived safely at Sandusky.

The steamer Huron City arrived at Huron early today with the crew of the Spademan. The Huron City rescued the Spademan’s crew while the schooner was sinking. The Spademan left Lorain Friday, in tow of the Huron City, bound for Marine City with coal.
