The construction of authentic scale models of Great Lakes ships is one of the prime objectives of the organization, which has brought inter-being the largest existing collection of models of these ships. The Museum of Great Lakes History, located at 5401 Woodward Avenue, Detroit 2, Michigan, is official headquarters for the organization and repository of all of its holdings. Tba Guild is incorporated asanorganization fornoprofit under the laws of the State ofMichigan. No member receives any compensation for his services. Blueprint The center pages of this issue present an outboard profile of the Lake Michigan steamer UNITED STATES from the original tracings of the Manitowoc Shipbuilding Company. The drawings were presented in 1957 by A. J. Zuehlke, Vice President and Naval Architect of the company. Unfortunately this and other original builders* tracings to be printed in Telescope cannot bo made available in the usual Guild blueprint sets.
