Marcelia Cynthia (Ellenwood) Neff, wife of Capt. Samuel Neff, was born 19 April 1844, Peru, Clinton Co., N.Y., the daughter of Benjamin and Parmelia (Ferriss) Ellenwood. See Ellenwood data following #344 in the Neff History Book (Curry). The Ellenwood family came to Wis. in 1857, settling near Oshkosh. Samuel Neff & Marcelia Ellenwood were married 30 Nov. 1862, Ripon, Wis. Their children were Sidney Orrin Neff, b. 2 Oct. 1863; Albert Benjamin, b. 14 June 1865; Charles Samuel, b. 9 April 1870. Marcelia died in Milwaukee, Wis. 15 Dec. 1899, and Samuel on 21 Feb. 1904. Both are buried in. Riverside Cemetery, Oshkosh, Wis.
