1894: a scene repeated many times on the Great Lakes during the lumber era -steamers pulling their lumber tows. All three ships in 1894 were owned by Capt. Samuel Neff & Sons. All ships listed, Beers, History of the Great Lakes, Vol. 1; Inland Lloyds Vessel Register, 1893; Ship Masters' Assoc. Dir., 1903. All ships also pictured separately... The tows: Sidney O.
