Notes
Drawn by Charles S Neff who, as a boy, was aboard the tug Ajax, which pushed the mill on the barges, Lucy and Eveready from Winneconne to Oshkosh, Wis. on July 4th, 1879. People lined the banks to watch. The mill stood for many years, and was used as a feed mill and grinder even after the two top floors had burned off. The mill, the Reliance Flouring Mills, was owned by Fred Laabs' Sons.
