Coal-fired triple expansion engines 234 x 38 x 42, Built in 1909 by the American Shipbuilding Company at Lorain, Ohio for the Douglas Steamship Company (J.J.H. Brown,mgr.). Purchased by Pioneer in 1916. Sold to the Gart- land Steamship Company in 1959 and renamed HENRY R. PLATT, Jr. In service,
