Three have been called the New York News. Q & O traces its roots to the Ontario Trans- portation and Pulp Company. It had been incorporated as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Ontario Paper Company on January 22, 1914. In 1933 the name was changed to the Quebec and Ontario Transportation Com- pany to recognize the involvement of both of these Canadian provinces in the company's fortunes.
