THE SEA BIRD.--Up to this time all efforts to get this steamer off have proved unavailing. The steam pumps which were put on board were found ineffectual to clear her of water, and they have been taken off. She is still comparatively uninjured, except the displacement of some portion of her bottom planking which must have been done when she went ashore. We understand that the contract of raising her has now been taken by Capt. Caleb Harrison. From this gentleman's experience in such business it is safe to conclude that what he cannot do in this line, it would be useless for others to attempt, and it is confidently believed that he will succeed in restoring the Sea Bird to her owner in good shape.
