Artifacts from this memorable era are being recovered, however, nightclub locations have been extensively altered during the past sixty years. Many clubs nowhave marinas extending far out into water, perhaps covering up the delivery locations. In the early 1960s, only the Aquarama and the Bob-Lo steamers Ste. Claire and Columbia operated from downtown Detroit on a daily basis. This photo of the Ste. Claire was taken in July, 1962 by Harry Wolf as the Ste. Claire was ready to depart with another full load of passengers for the Big Band cruise held every Friday night. 86 by John C.
