Membership News: We apologize for the delay in publishing this first issue of Telescope for 2006. To get back on schedule, the next issue will be a double issue (56 pages) and the 4th issue will contain 28 pages. We are glad to inform you that the Detroit Historical Society has reached an agreement with the City of Detroit to keep the Detroit Historical Museum and the Dossine Great Lakes Museum open. GLMI will be working with the Detroit Historical Society to present programs and exhibits at the Dossin Great Lakes Museum. The museum is open Saturday and Sunday only from 11am - 4 pm. With the change in operting procedures at Dossin Museum, GLMI has obtained a post office box for mail. Our new mail address is: P.O. Box 1990, Dearborn, MI 48121. If you have inquiries concerning your GLMI membership, we can be reached by mail or e-mail: megrawka@sbcglobal.net or phone message (313) 791-8452. For those interested in obtaining information from the Dossin Museum collections, please call (313) 833-1805. GLMI is also working on providing permanent, reliable service for the webcam.
