Saturday, July 24 -- Dossin 50th Anniversary Celebration The Dossin Great Lakes Museum opened to the public for the first time on July 24, 1960. Mark the Museum's 50th birthday in a special way with free cake and an appearance by Annessa Carlisle, author of "Bob-Lo: An Island in Troubled Waters," bringing a different perspective to the history of one of metro Detroit's most beloved attractions. Free admission from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday & Sunday, August 21 & 22 and 28 & 29 -- Ship Spectacular These two weekends provide your chance to get close to some of the vessels that regularly travel the Great Lakes including the GREY FOX, J.W.
