August, 1909 STERNPOST REPAIRED 35 HOURS This repair was made last month ona 4000 ton ocean liner. The vessel went into dry- dock at 7:30 A. M. and at 6 P. M. the follow- ing day the sternpost had been welded and the boat was ready forservice. If the repair had been made by any other method than the THERMIT PROCESS, the vessel would have been out of commission for weeks. We weld sternposts, rudder stocks, rudder frames, crank shafts, anchors, etc., and effect a big saving in time and expense.
