A contract to build four coal barges for Frank Waterhouse & Co., Seattle, has been let to John McAtee, of Seat- tle, for $25,272, the work to be delivered | in 90 days. The range of bids was considerable, varying from $25,000 to over $50,000, while the time required for construction was estimated by the various bidders from 90 days to 180 days. Mr. McAtee will construct the four barges at Port Blakley, nine miles across the Sound from Seattle. The barges will be built under the supervision of David Baird and John Jordison, marine superintendents for Frank Waterhouse & Co.
