GRAND HAVEN, Ottawa County, Michigan, is situated on both sides of Grand River, near its entrance into Lake Michigan, here eighty-five miles wide ; on. the opposite side lies Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 'The different settle- ments, comprising Grand Haven, contain about 5,000 inhabitants.
