Toronto Harbor.--The draft of vessels entering the West chan- nel should not exceed 10 feet when the lake level is at the zero of the harbor commissioners' gauge at Queens wharf. Norr.--The average height of the lake' as shown by the mean of 44 yearly averages of observed heights is 14.83 inches above the zero of the commissioners' gauge. The highest water level recorded during that time was 47 inches above zero on May 6, 1870; the lowest was 25 inches - below zero on November 20, 1895. Queens Wharf Light.--New lenses and improved burners have been put in this range light, which has greatly increased the visibility and intensity of the light. A skeleton frame tower of steel is now being erected on the south end © of the East pier, When the tower is completed 'a white intermittent light will be exhibited from it at an elevation of 33 feet above the pier, or 43 feet above lake level.
