Lower Lake George Light.--A square wooden float with pyramidal iron framework supporting the lantern has been substituted for the crib struc- ture carried away by ice during the winter. | Pilot Island Range Light-Station--Front Light.--The. former light has been discontinued and a fixed white reflector light, illuminating about 2214° of the horizon on either side of the range line, has been established, 39 feet above mean lake level, in the white, octagonal, pyramidal, frame tower stirmounted by a black lantern, recently erected on Pilot Island, about 700 feet to the westward of Rocky Point and the former position of the light southerly side of Mud Lake. . Cee Rear Light.--The former light has been discontinued and a fixed white reflector light, illuminating about 22%° of the horizon on either side of the range line, was established, 58 feet above mean lake level, in the white, octagonal, pyramidal framé tower, surmounted by a black lantern, recently erected ona crib foundation in the water, off the southerly shore of Mud. Lake, 1,884 feet (nearly 34 mile) S. by W. 3% W. in rear of the pre- ceding, and about 1/3 mile N. by W. from the former position of the light. Lower Hay Lake Cut East Side Middle Float Light.--This light moored in 20 feet of water, about 1% miles north-northwesterly of Junc- tion Light No. 8, southerly end of Hay Lake, has been. discontinued, and the light established, without change in location or characteristic, on a white mast rising from a triangular pile cluster, and the height of the light was increased to 21 feet above lake level. The name of the light has been amended by striking out the word "Float." Sault Range Light Station--Front Light.--The intensity of this light has been increased by changing from a post-lantern to a lens-lantern light, illuminating 45° of the horizon, and the light is now shown 20 feet above mean lake level, from a white, octagonal, pyramidal frame tower, on a square wooden crib, in about 8 feet of water, near southerly shore of the St. Marys River about 1 mile below the city of Sault Ste. Marie and about 1%Z mile to the westward of the northerly entrance to Hay Lake Channel. Rear Light.--The intensity of this light has been increased by chang- ing from a post-lantern to a lens-lantern light, illuminating 45° of the
