CHANGES AND ADDITIONS. 13 LAKE SUPERIOR. GRAND MARAIS HARBOR OF REFUGE RANGE LIGHT STA- TION.--The white, square, pyramidial, wooden, skeleton tower on the outer end of the west pier at the entrance to Grand Marais Harbor of Refuge, southerly shore of the easterly part of Lake Superior, from which the front light is shown, was moved along the pier 550 feet northerly from its old position and re-established, without other change, at a point. 40 feet from the outer end of the pier. An elevated walk extends from the light- tower shoreward a distance of 1,360 feet. The distance between the lights of the range is now 1,770 feet, and the bearing of the range line remains unchanged. The color of the lights has been changed from white to red. GRAND ISLAND HARBOR RANGE REAR LIGHT STATION.-- On the mainland, westerly entrance to Grand Island Harbor. The height of the light has been increased 4 feet, and it is now 45 feet above lake level. PORTAGE LAKE AND RIVER Middle Ground South End.--This horizontal stripes, third-class can has been moved 450 feet northwesterly and moored in 20 feet of water, to mark the southeasterly end of the middle ground making off Grosse Pointe, and at the entrance to Torch Bay, as recently surveyed. Franklin Stamps Dock, right tangent, N. 34 E. Arcadian Stamps Dock, right tangent, NE. 3% E. Pilgrim Point Lighthouse, NNW. % W. Middle Ground Shoal.--This red spar buoy has been moved 1,000 feet west-northwesterly, and moored in 20 feet of water, to mark the middle of the westerly side of the Middle Ground off Grosse Pointe, as recently surveyed. Franklin Stamp Mill Dock, right tangent, NE. % E. Portage Lake Golf Club Dock, outer end, NW. Pilgrim Point Lighthouse, NNW. Grosse 'Pointe Buoy.--This spar has been moved 650 feet southerly, and moored in 20 feet of water to mark the westerly side of the upper end of the shoal off Grosse Pointe, as recently surveyed. Portage Lake Golf Club Dock, outer end, NW. by W. 3% W. Onigaming Yacht Club Dock, outer end, NW. 4% N. Pilgrim Point Lighthouse, N. by W. 34 W. - Schlot Creek Buoy, No. 734.--A black spar, in 20 feet of water, on the westerly side of the southerly end of the dredged channel in the northerly arm of Portage Lake, off the mouth of Schlot Creek. North Canal Brick Company Dock, NNE. &% E., about 3,200 feet. Mill Point Dock, left tan- gent, NE. % N., about 2,900 feet. : Swedetown Creek Buoy No. 8.--A spar has been moved about 600 feet 'southerly, and. moored in 20 feet of water to mark the point of the shoal off the mouth of Swedetown creek. Cole Creek Light, S. by E. % E., about 3,200 feet. -Schlot Creek Buoy, No. 10A.--A spar in 20 feet of water, on the easterly side of the southerly end of the dredged channel in the northerly arm ot Portage Lage, off the mouth of Schlot Creek.
