COAL AND MISCELLANEOUS DOCKS OF THE GREAT LAKES--Continued repairing ships up to 253 feet in length and 44 foot beam. Depth of water over the dry dock gate sill is 74% feet (dry dock is located in and approached through the Third Canal below Lock 8). Marine Railway -- nil; patent slips, nil; divers and salv- age equipment from Port Colborne Iron Works. Bunkering: Coal -- Valley Camp Coal Company, up to 350 tons per hour by overhead belt conveyor. : Oils: Imperial Oil Limited, Diesel oil medium, pumping rate up to 170 barrels per hour; Interlake Fuels, Diesel oil, pumping rate up to 20,000 gallons per hour, Bunker "C" fuel oil, pumping rate up to 200 tons per hour. Oil docks also provide Diesel oil from tank trucks. NORMAL CLOSING DATES: Navigation Season -- April 1st to December 15th (usually). EXPORTS: Flour, prepared cereals, cake mixes, grain, crushed stone, cement, pig iron, expanded slag, fair-leads (ships). IMPORTS: Coal, bunker "C" fuel oil, diesel oil, grain and corn, iron ore, steel plate and bars, limestone, flue dust, sand, gravel. CHARGES: Port charges in Port Colborne, Ontario (See St. Lawrence Seaway Tariff of Tolls and St. Lawrence Sea- way Tariff of Charges By-law, as per schedule in "St. Lawrence Seaway Masters' Handbook"). Building, Repairing, or Breaking Up: (a) During navigation season (i) if within a lying up area, the lying up charges; (ii) if not within a lying up area, the side wharfage charges. (b) during non-navigation season, Five Dollars ($5.00) for vessels of up to one hundred (100) tons gross tonnage, and Five Cents (05c) for each ton additional, which rates shall be inclusive of the rates for wintering charges.
