Sturtevant Steel Plate’ Fans Ideal for Marine Forced Draft HE ideal performance of Sturtevant. Steel Plate Forced Draft Fans is the outcome of sound engineering prin- ciples of design and finest manufacturing methods of con- struction. They are designed for slow speeds and therefore have comparatively large diameter wheels making it possible to obtain the necessary tip speed to develop the desired pressure without excessive rotative speeds. Because of the fan wheel construction, air velocities through the fan are low and uniform. Low rotative speed and low air velocity combined results in practically noiseless and vibrationless operes under normal conditions. The particular type of Sturtevant Steel Plate Forced Draft Fan shown at the left is built especially for Marine duty and may be either engine or turbine driven. Let us send you further data on this fan.
