ELECTRIC RANGES and OVENS that have proved their “sea legs”. OR years Westinghouse electric galley equipment has been going to sea. These ranges, ovens, fry kettles, broilers and other cooking units which have been designed for unusually heavy duty ser- vice are hardy, all-weather hands—they have proved their “‘sea legs.” For example let us point out the unusually rugged construction of the Westinghouse galley range with its angle-iron welded frame which supports the cooking surface, oven and control equipment. The top of this range is so constructed that it will carry a dead load of 1500 pounds while at red heat without buckling, warping, or sagging. A special type of construction, exclusive with Westing- house, allows free expansion and contraction of the units support- ing the framework while heating and cooling. Another exclusive feature is in the oven construction which pro- vides inner walls of heavy stainless steel reinforced with steel angles. The outer shell of heavy rust-resisting steel is separated from the oven lining by 3 inches of rock wool insulation. Positive and reliable heat control of the oven insures perfect results day after day. Let our representatives help you with your galley equipment prob- lem. Our nearest district office will be pleased to cooperate. Westinghouse T 79057 Quality workmanship guarantees every Westinghouse product MARINE REvirew—April, 1932 27
