TRUE LEADERSHIP Early in 1875, George H. Babcock and Stephen Wilcox built their first marine boiler. In the fifty-eight years that have followed, this organizaiion has built more marine boilers than the combined totals of all other manufacturers of marine boilers of the water-tube type. In building these boilers, The Babcock & Wilcox Company has accumulated a wealth cf experience that has been constantly available to the Marine Industry. This experience has not been limited to one type of boiler for one type of ship, but is expressed in the exclusive and advantageous features of designs available for, and installed in, every type of ship . . . liners, tugs, yachts, dredges, freighters, tenders, tankers, and the fighting ships cf practically every country supporting a navy. Furthermore, this extensive experience enables The Babcock & Wilcox Company, as the foremost manufacturer of marine steam-generating equip- ment, to solve new problems with unequalled certainty of favorable results, thereby increasing its recognized service to the Marine Industry.
