Abraham Wendell Esq.

Collector of the Port of Michilimackinac

The following is a description of the Steam Boat Pennsylvania, her machinery &c. I hereby submit, viz.

Her tonnage is 395 38/95 Tons,

" Length. One hundred & fifty feet,

" Breadth. twenty five feet, four inches

" Depth, eleven feet

That she was built at the Borough of Erie, Pa. in the year 1832, by John Richards.

Her owners names are William H. Bruce, Stephen A. Baldwin and John G. Ransom. That she is commanded by the subscriber. Her Engineers are William Burnett and Jacob Wolf.

The power of her engine is 180 Horsepower

that she is high pressure. Her engine was constructed by Warden & Benny, Pittsburgh in the year 1837, and has been one year in use.
