On the 8th alto I addressed you a letter in reference to the sale of the schooner Swallow and not having heard from you in reply I have taken the liberty to write you again.
The New York and Lake Superior Mining Company are extremely anxious to dispose of the "Swallow" at a fair price, will you please let me know how much she is worth and the likelihood of a sale being made. The Company are willing to allow you the usual commission for selling vessels and you would oblige me by giving me the necessary information at your very earliest convenience.
