Draft of letter to an unidentified light keeper regarding the late delivery of returns from the fourth quarter of 1840, and specifically that the accounts were missing. Return send with some Indians to Thunder Bay for the Express, but not delivered. Account sent via Biddle & Drew's man to Thunder Bay but also not received. No mail to Mackinac in the winter.
