Description
A sidewheeler, Lincoln, at the Ottawa River entrance bay to the Rideau Canal, at what was known as Sterling's wharf. This was almost certainly the vessel built in 1861 at Sorel Quebec, and destroyed by fire at Ottawa in 1878, 105875 in this collection. The image is cropped from a stereo card held on Library and Archives Canada's Sotheby Parke Bernet & Co. collection, MIKAN 4204268, (copyright expired).
