PASSAGES ene ae Fleets The 1983-built, ocean-lakes bulk carriers Fraser and MacKenzie were bought by Canada Steamship Lines from FedNav Ltd.and & Vessels renamed Spruceglen and Birchglen in late 2002. The pair were built for the well-known Misener fleet, which went out of busi- ness in 1991, N.M. Paterson & Sons left the shipping business in 2002, selling its three operating vessels to Canada Steamship Lines. Paterson was renamed Pineglen, Cartierdoc was renamed Cedarglen and Mantadoc was rechristened Teakglen. Canada Steamship Lines’ Atlantic Huron, built in 1984, was widened by 3 feet during the winter of 2002-'03 at Port Weller Drydocks. Her new breadth is 78 feet. A similar job was per- formed last winter on ULS Group's Canadian Century, which returned to service in 2002 under the name John D. Leitch. Bluewing and Greenwing, the first two of a planned six vessels built in China for Great Lakes-salt- water service, made their first trips in 2002. Both are operated by Canfornav, Montreal.
