CAR Since 1896, FERRIES when the big PERE - QUETTE inaugurated the port's car ferry ser- vice, Milwaukee has be- come the world's busi- est car ferry terminal. Besides the Pere Mar- quette Ry., ferries of the Lake Michigan C.F. Transportation Co.also called at Milwaukee in the late Nineties.
