ABANDONED The Kelley Island Lime & Transporta- tion Co. has ad- vised the U.S.Engineers Corps that the sandsucker JOHN M. McKERCHEY which capsized off Lorain on October 16th, has been abandoned. The wreck is to be removed soon. This ves- sel was built at Ecorse in 1906, and served this area as a fueling ship first and then as a sandsucker. Its dimen- sions were 161 x 37 x 11, and its gross tonnage was 732.
