Our Vice President, Jack Miller has arranged a good selection of marine pictures for our entertainment. In an effort to provide a larger meeting hall, we will gather this time in the Auditorium of the new library building of the University of Detroit, on the McNichols - Livernois Campus. The Library is about in the middle of the campus, on Grove St.,just east of Liver- »nois. There is good parking room on Wednesday nights at the south end of the campus, around the Engineering Building (the tower), along Flor- ence Ave. Plan to attend now, and be sure to inform your officers whether you like or dislike this meeting place. Room 311, on the third floor, is the exact spot. Our guests are always welcome. For those depending upon public transportation the following busses are recommended: the Dexter, Livernois, and 14th Street busses come directly to the campus. From downtown, the Woodward car to McNichols, and the W.McNichols bus is probably the quickest route. The Second Ave. bus does NOT operate after 7:30 P.M. Our December meeting, on the evening of the 12th, will feat- ure a paper on the ships of the Pittsburgh Fleet, by our past President, Rev.Edward J.Dowling,S.J. The craneship ELBA recently carried a record steel cargo for the Lakes, with 8011 net tons. Once again the SCOTT MISENER has made a new wheat record of 666,611 bushels, or about 19,998 tons.
