Our speaker will be Mr.Neil Morgan who will tell us the story of the ships and shipbuilders of Wyandotte, and of the contribution made by Wyandotte to the marine history of our Great Lakes. Mr.Morgan has prepared a list of all the ships built at the famous Wyandotte ggrds. There is much here for us all to enjoy and to know. We hope all our members and their friends will be present. On April 30th, Wednesday, we will hold our Eighth Annual Dinner Meet- Cong. It is planned to have this at the Edison Boat Club, with Captain Morgan Howell as our speaker. ANNOUNCEMENT : As directed by the Constitutions of our Society, at the February meet- ing your President appointed a Nominating Committee to prepare the slate for the June election. Those appointed to this committee are, Capt.A.J.Palmer, Chairman, Messrs. William Mahoney and Jack Goodrich, and Fr.Dowling. All the members of the Society are strongly urged to suggest nominations for the four places in our Advisory Council which will be vacated in June. However, the following, hecause they already hold office in this Board for a period beyond this year, are ineligible for nomination, - Messrs.Dancey, Goodrich, Gregoire, Miller, Worden, Zeleznik, Dr.Morrison,and Fr.Dowling. The canaller WALTER INKSTER (ex SUN CHIEF, ex TURRET CAPE) sailed from Buffalo to Port Colborne on Jan.24th. The Tanker POLARIS operated on Cake Michigan until the end of January. The "G" tug MARYLAND has arrived in Detroit afer a complete rebuilt and repowering at the company's yards in Toledo. In charge of the conversion work for Great Lakes Towing is our fellow member, Capt,John K,lsner. The CHARLES L.HUTCHINSON (111) was successfully launnkéd at the Defoe Yards at Bay City on Feb.5, while on Feb.16 the newest of the Pittsburgh Fleet, the ARTHUR M.ANDERSON, went down the ways at Lorain.
