We will have a roast beef dinner and the charge will be $2.50 per plate. We are changing the dinner meeting to Saturday in the hope that many of our out of town members will be able to come to Detwoit. The first serving will be at about 5:30 P.M. and will continue through 6:30 P.M. Our Treasurer Ken Smith will hav tickets at the Boat Club, whichall should get before they go to the dining room. The Edison Boat Club is located on the Detroit River adjacent to the "Conners Creek" power plant of the Detroit Edison Co., at the foot of Lycaste St. on the east side. Those who drive may come directly go the Club where there is ample parking space. Those who come via public transportation should take the E.Jefferson bus to Lycaste St. Those with cars who have room are asked kindly to he on the lookout for persons whe) have come to the corner of Jefferson and Lycaste by bus and give them a lift to the Club. Our speaker of the evening will be Count Alfred Von Niezychowski who will tell us of his experiences in the first World War. Plan to atéend the meeting, beginning at approximately 8 o'clock, even if you cannot get to the dinner. As always your friends are cordially welcome. Our annual picnic meeting at the Fort Malden Museum grounds in Amherstburg will be held on Saturday, June 6th. Prof Fred Landon of Lonéon Untario will be the speaker. Mark this date now. PLEASE return the enclosed card if you plan to attend the dinner meeting, as we must know how many reservations to make. Your card should reach your Secretary not later than Tuesday, April 28th. Robert A.Zeleznik, Secretary ANNOUNCEMENT: NOMINATING COMMITTEE At the March meeting a Nominating Committee was appointed to prepare the slate for the June election. Members of this committee are Capt.Arthur C.Johnson, Oscar Gregoire, John Meyers, and Capt.W.J.Taylor. The following members of the Advisory Council will complete their term of office in June, Robert Zeleznik, John Goodrich, Neil Morrison and Fr. Dowling. Several nominations have already been made, and others may be made up to the time of the Dinner Meeting, when the Committee must give its report.
