Service was later extended to many Lake Michigan ports, as well as to the Soo and Georgian Bay. In the first decade the vessels had white hulls, afterwards black. Stack, red with black top, cabins white. Flag, a double pointed white pennant with red letters G.T.Co. We are listing the Goodrich ships in chronological order, showing first the date of acquisition or build, then the name, foljowed by other data. Our masthead illustration for this month depicts the Goodrich sidewheeler NORTHWEST, built in 1867. »/1856 HURON Wooden sidewheeler, built by Ward at Newport, Michigan in 1852, 348 tons. This ship was abandoned in 1877. 1858 OGONTZ Wooden propellor, 1848, Ohio cg 0., the tons. Reduced : to sailing vessel, 1861.
