During that year and the following one the ships of the Rutland Transit Co., were engaged to carry the —— to Chicago. However, in January, 1914, the Ontario Transportation and Company was incorporated and began operations beaing one gp vessel. In the late Twenties the name of this form, The Quebec and Ontario Transportation fo. sLtd. For a share period in the early Twenties the company bore the name of Chicago Tribune Trans- portation Co. In regard to colors, the hulls are black and cabins white, while the stacks originally were all black, then yellow with a narrow black top, and finally a wide red band separating the yellow and black and bear- ing the white monogram "CTCo." briefly in the Twenties, and presently the femiliar "Q.&.0." marking.
