The ship pictured thereon is the canal sized freighter ONEIDA (US 220779 - the second similar vessel of that name), built in 1920 at Wyandotte, and whichsailed both the Lakes and on salt water asa unit of the Ford Motor Co. fleet. Becker Towing Co. has purchased the steam tug GEN.E.M.MARKHAM (ex DETROIT) from Great Lakes D.& D.Co. She will be converted to Diesel, and according to reliable sources will be renamed CAPT.FRANK BECKER.
