Ships of the Northern Navigation C iny, continued from first page: The color arrangement for the Northern Navigation Ships was a combination of the colors of the three fleets of the original merger. The lower hull was black, the hull color of the "Black Line." The upper hull on the N.N. vessels was white, reflecting the influence of the "White Line." Finally w the brilliant orange-red stack with the white band below the black top was taken from the Beatty Line. These colors remained unchanged through- out the history of the fleet, and the stack colors were officially adop- ted by Canada Steamship Lines in 1921.
