In the earlier days the stacks were all black. The package freighters of the Rutland Lake Michigan Transit Co. had green hulls with orange bottom, white cabins and the present Sullivan stack design with a streamer or ribbon painted over the "S" and carrying the small letters "RIMTC". The Redland SS. ship had a red "R" in place of the "S" on the stack band. The Milwaukee Western ships had a black stack with two broad yellow bands. Fleet lists start on Page 3. © The Rev. Edward J.
