William Nicholson, founder of the original Nicholson Tran- sit Company, which in 1922 had vecome the Nicholson-Universal Steamship Co. sold his interest in the latter company and agreed not to engage in auto- mobile transportation for 20 years. He then re-established the old Nichol- son Transit Co., and engaged in the transportation of steel products and in general freight shipping. (NOTE: The subsequent history of the Nicholson-Universal Steamship Co., as operated after 1927, is not included in this listing.
