Now hets try- ing to gather material for an article on Ships' Bells of the lakes, oceans and rivers, has found no book on the subject and would like to solicit information on bells -- ships they were used on, diameter of mouth or lip, height of shell, weight. Also he would like information on the OCTONARA, particularly when she last sailed on the lakes for Great Lakes Transit Corp. Beall served 32 years in the Hevenue Cutter Service and Coast Guard, starting at Detroit .on the MOKRILL in 1914. He was radio operator on Henry Ford's yacht SIALIA in 1925 and later on the ord company's big, ocean auto carrier EAST INDIAN, AND... TASHMOO Harry Marshall, of 130 Grove, Prescott, Ariz. (That's right, Arizona), has heard that a book, "Tashmoo' was issued at the time the steamer was built. He says it describes the boat in detail and also some of the resorts she visited along the St.Clair iver. He would like to obtain a copy. Sounds sood. ‘We would like one, too.
